ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY
By
J. E. Hazlett Lynch
You think you will never get over what terrorists did to you and your family!  With your loved one having been murdered by terrorists, and/or having been physically injured by terrorists, your life will never be the same again - EVER!

How are you to handle this atrocity?  What foothold is available for you?  Is there any point in going on?  What kind of future do I have?  Can I ever get over what was visited on me in the past?  Am I now having to live with negative thoughts for the rest of my life?

"On the Road to Recovery" was written specifically with the innocent victims of terrorism in mind.  The author, Dr Hazlett Lynch, himself a victim of terrorism, became aware that there was little or no reading material available to help those who suffered from terrorism get a grip on their lives, so he wrote this book, based largely on his own experience
.

Having had his youngest policeman brother brutally murdered by Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA) terrorists in 1977, he looked for help, and got none.  And having worked as a minister in three of Northern Ireland's worst trouble spots - the "killing fields" of North Belfast in the nineteen seventies, "bandit country" of South Armagh in the eighties, and South Londonderry in the nineties, Dr Lynch gained a practical insight into what these victims were suffering.

This book seeks to give a different perspective to those whose lives have been forever changed by terrorist violence, and who suffer the debilitating effects of psychological trauma.

It is essentially a book of encouragement, a book to lift up your spirit within you, a book of help.

JOURNEYING THROUGH IRISH HISTORY

EXPLODING MYTHS

by Gary McMurray

This excellent and well-written introduction to Irish history will make a valuable contribution to your knowledge, setting out, as it does, the flow of Irish history - which is also our history - while exploding the numerous myths that have gathered around both the British and Irish understandings of history.

Read about Patrick of Ireland, the Ulster Plantation, The Williamite Wars (Derry, Enniskillen, Aughrim and the Boyne), The 1798 Rebellion, The Ulster Crisis, Partition, Northern Ireland, and the Future.

Did Catholics come into Ireland at the Plantation?  Was Cromwell attacking the poor Irish?  Was William of Orange supported by the Pope?  How important was the battle of the Boyne?  Had William only Protestant soldiers, and James only Catholic ones?  Were the first Irish nationalists Catholics?  Were the first Irish Americans Presbyterians?

You need to know the answers to these questions.  Get this book from the West Tyrone Voice office: Grange Court, 21-27 Moyle Road, NEWTOWNSTEWART, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, BT78 4AP.
